Yes, absolutely. Our kits comply with Australian standards and are designed for temporary use to help you reach a repair shop or tyre service safely.
There is no maximum distance, however a Road Hero should be used temporarily to get home or to your nearest garage.
Space saver spare wheel recommended speed limit is 80km/h.
When changing a wheel, we recommend following the manufacturers instructions as all vehicles have varying restrictions.
Handling will be different as the Road Hero has a much skinnier tyre compared to a standard wheel.
PCD stands for Pitch Circle Diameter and is the diameter of the circle that passes by the centre of the bolts. The offset of a wheel is the measurement of its hub mounting to the centre of the wheel.
We cannot guarantee that all Road Hero space saver wheel kit will fit into a vehicles wheel, so we provide a protective bag for safe storage.
2 year warranty against manufacturing defaults does not cover accidental damage or misuse.
Most reputable roadside assistance companies will fit a space saver wheel, however we recommend checking before making a journey.
If your kit is not supplied with wheel bolts, you may use your existing bolts. However, if you are provided with fixings (Nuts/bolts) you must use them.
If you are towing a caravan or trailer, then it is usually ok to fit a Road Hero, however we strongly recommend checking your vehicle manufacturers handbook, as there may be vehicle specific advice.
